	Calico & Golden Wreath
	The Calico	The crisp, bright tones and delicate beauty of the Calico bring out the real fun of playing a banjo. It has a beautiful honey stained curly maple neck and resonator with purfling and ivoroid binding. Mother-of-pearl scroll inlays adorn the hard, dense, colorful, exotic, and natu­rally beautiful ebony fingerboard. The neck has a two-way adjustable truss-rod, as do all Deering banjos. Bound in white, the peghead has an elegantly finished look. The slender neck shape is fast and easy to play The excellent tone comes from our three-ply maple rim, the Deering bronze tone-ring and zinc flange, combined with figured Eastern hard rock maple neck and resonator. All Deering banjos are fitted with a geared fifth string tuner for smooth, easy, and precise tuning. The inside walls of the resonator are tapered to maximize the sound and give you the instant response and clear tone of a Calico banjo. All resonators, from the Hartford model and up, feature tapered walls.
	The Golden Wreath	The Golden Wreath is a faithful reproduction of the classic banjos made in the 1930's. The Golden Wreath features a mahogany neck and resonator with high gloss finish, a genuine Deering polished bronze 20-hole tone-ring, the hard, dense, colorful, exotic, and naturally beautiful ebony fingerboard and peghead with traditional mother-of-pearl inlays. The three-ply rock maple rim is fitted with a traditional one piece cast zinc flange, and the res­onator is inlaid with two purfling rings in the back. The Wreath is true to the vintage banjos in materials, tone, and style. When combined with Deering's world class craftsmanship you get a warm, crisp tone and one of the finest banjos available today. 	Carving Each hand carved neck is a little different, and carving is a custom option available on any model. Engraving All engraving is done by the hand of skilled artisans. It adds value and personal­izes your banjo. You can even have your name engraved on the arm rest.
